Smarter Handling of Whitespace


Before Zamurai version 2.6 was available, selecting objects in lower layers could be challenging because objects in a higher layer could "get in the way". An object’s “bounding box” would potentially interfere with your ability to select another object, like in the following example where the drawn rectangle is at the highest layer. In this example, if you wanted to select and make the employee icon larger, the rectangle drawing gets in the way:


With Zamurai version 2.6, an object’s layer order still matters, but Zamurai is now smarter about how it handles whitespace. The prior example is no longer a problem because when you tap on the employee icon, it is selected. The whitespace within the middle of the rectangle drawing is now ignored, even though the rectangle is at the highest layer:
